RDAQ provides mentoring and support for Overseas Trained Doctors.  We recognise the important contribution that OTDs make to the State’s rural and remote health services and are continuing to campaign at both the State and Federal level for:

• Improved support and access to training for OTDs
• Access to Medicare for Temporary Resident doctors and their families
• Streamlining of relevant registration and qualification requirements

The first year of membership for Overseas Trained Doctors is FREE upon completion of the membership application form. 

Overseas Trained Doctors and their families are especially welcome at the annual RDAQ conference.  A special OTD forum is part of the program at every conference.  This forum provides information and updates and gives OTDs an opportunity to raise any issues or concerns.  The conference is also a great way to meet other rural doctors.
