Australian Doctors Trained Overseas

RDAQ provides mentoring and support for Australian doctors who have trained overseas.  We recognise the important contribution that these doctors make to the State’s rural and remote health services and are continuing to campaign at both the State and Federal level for:

  • Improved support and access to training
  • Access to Medicare for Temporary Resident doctors and their families
  • Streamlining of relevant registration and qualification requirements

The first year of membership for international medical graduates is FREE upon completion of the membership application form.

Overseas Trained Doctors and their families are especially welcome at the annual RDAQ conference.   The conference provides information and updates and gives Australian doctors who have trained overseas an opportunity to raise any issues or concerns.  The conference is also a great way to meet other rural doctors.
