RDAQ welcomes all medical students as members. Student membership is free. Students who join the University Rural Health Clubs have the option of joining RDAQ as part of their Club membership.
Students can also join by completing the Student Membership Application form.
RDAQ supports all the University Student Rural Health Clubs:
RDAQ awards annual student prizes. These consist of assistance with travel and accommodation to the RDAQ conference; free conference registration; presentation of the award at the conference dinner; and free RDAQ membership for the Student’s intern year.
University of Queensland - RDAQ Student Prize is awarded to a member of TROHPIQ who has completed his/her rural rotation. Application forms are available from the RDAQ office and through TROHPIQ.
James Cook University - RDAQ Student Prize application process is coordinated by the University. Contact a RHINO representative for more information.
QRME / Griffith University - RDAQ Student Prize is awarded by Queensland Rural Medical Education (QRME).
Many RDAQ members provide sponsorship to allow medical students to attend the RDAQ conference. This is coordinated through the University Rural Health Clubs, so contact your Club for more information.
From 2013 RDAQ has introduced an 'overall' student prize. Finalists will be invited to present an abstact to the RDAQ conference and the overall winner will be presented at the RDAQ Gala Dinner. Contact RDAQ for more information.
Student membership is free. Simply fill in the Student Membership form and return it to the RDAQ office.
